- Collegiate School Teaching is for college and graduate students of color interested in independent school teaching. Students from all majors are sought. Applicants selected for the program receive a stipend, free housing and travel reimbursement.
- First Generation College Student puts together as much clear, useful advice as possible for all the challenges kids as first generation college student face.
- The Walters Art Museum offers paid summer internships for diversity in the arts. Interns may work in one or more divisions of the museum including education, development, public relations, information technology or curatorial.
- The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts offers two diversity initiatives: the Josie A. Bass Career Development Program for African American students and the Los Padres Internship Program for Hispanic/Latino students. Internship areas include Accounting, Human Resources, Development, Communications & Marketing, Information Systems and more. Free housing and transportation are provided if necessary.
- JP Morgan’s Launching Leaders Scholarship Program has been named one of Vault Inc.’s Top Ten Internships. Black, Hispanic and Native American students with a 3.5 GPA who are interested in financial services are eligible to apply. The program includes life-changing internship opportunities as well as scholarships of up to $10,000 a year.
- The Nascar Diversity Internship Program places deserving students from racial minority groups in a 10-week summer program designed to introduce them to the world of NASCAR and the exciting career opportunities available throughout the motorsports industry.
- Humanity in Action sponsors six summer programs on minority and human rights issues in Europe and the United States. All academic majors who are actively seeking new perspectives on minority issues are invited to apply. HIA pays virtually all of the costs of participation.
- AFSCME/UNCF Union Scholars Program is a 10-week summer field placement during which interns participate in a union organizing campaign in one of several locations across the United States.
- INROADSThis organization’s mission is to develop and place talented minority youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership.
- Sponsors for Educational Opportunity runs a career program which now partners with over 40 firms and offers 400 plus summer internships in accounting, corporate law, information technology, investment banking, philanthropy, etc., in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Hong Kong.
- Goldman Sach’s Diversity Internships and Scholarships offers several opportunities both in the U.S. and abroad for black, Hispanic and Native American students, students with disabilities, and women.
- The American Association of Advertising Agencies’ Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) has helped jumpstart the careers of more than 1,600 African-American, Asian-American, Latino-American, Native-American, multi-racial and multiethnic aspiring advertising professionals.
- The Newhouse Graduate Newspaper Fellowship and Apprenticeship for Minorities is a highly competitive 30-month program that provides two generous awards to minority students who have majored in subjects other than journalism as undergraduates.
- Microsoft Corporation encourages undergraduate students from groups currently underrepresented in the field of computer science to pursue technical degrees. Microsoft Scholarship recipients receive a scholarship to cover one academic year as well as a salaried internship for 12 weeks.
- The Resource Guide of Summer Opportunities for Minority Undergraduate Students has more than 100 fellowship, internship and research program listings.
- The Management Leadership for Tomorrow Career Prep Program is a comprehensive 12-month program designed to prepare minority juniors for fast-track entry-level jobs. Skills training includes: one-on-one career coaching and planning, exclusive exposure to leading companies, national networking with young professionals, and four all-inclusive leadership development trips.
- T. Howard Foundation is recruiting diverse students at the undergraduate and graduate levels for internships with industry partners including FOX, NBC Universal, Showtime, HVBO, ESPN and XM Radio. Interns are paid $10-12/hour for a minimum of 8 weeks in locations nationwide.
- The Latino Fellowship Program offered through the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University is designed to increase the representation of public health professionals serving Latinos in the US. One to two fellowships are offered each year for students pursuing their MPH through the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health at Columbia.
